DCP FAQ

What is the DCP?
The DCP stands for The Disney College Program. The Disney College Program is a paid internship where students work in the Disney theme parks in the United States for one semester. The program is offered in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California! I have written a post on exactly what the Disney College Program is here.

What are the requirements to apply?
The only requirement when applying is that you must be a college student (full or part time) and taking at least one class at a college or university. Students who are still in high school but have dual enrollment with a university cannot apply.

What are the programs available?
The programs available are:
Spring (January-May)
Spring Advantage (January-August)
Fall Advantage (May-January)
Fall (August-January)

When and how can I apply?
Recruiting for Spring and Spring Advantage starts in early September. Recruiting for Fall and Fall Advantage starts in early February. When applying there is the General Application (your past job/volunteer experience, general information, and you get to put your preference in your roles) then there is the Web Based Interview, which is a personality type test, and the third step in the application process is the Phone Interview (where you talk to an interviewer). This post here talks about the Web Based Interview, and the post here talks about the Phone Interview.

If accepted, am I going to be slammed with any fees?
Once accepted there is a fee you have to pay. I believe it was $304.00 by the time taxes were added in. The Fees were housing and program fees. Other than that the only thing you have to pay is rent, and that is taken out of your paycheck automatically.

Does Disney provide housing?
Yes, Disney does provide housing. There are 4 Housing Complexes in Walt Disney World: Patterson Court, Chatham Square, Vista Way, and the Commons. Rent is taken out of your check automatically.
